The new path completed by Damian and team has been very well received (if one can 'receive' a path). The intention is to provide in the course budget each year for more paths. Generating a surplus from the club's trading activities allows for improvements and replacements and members can see for themselves what has been done over the last few years. Scheduled soon is the repair of the bridge on the 18th. It has been 'scheduled' for a time, however getting the work done is always dependant on getting the tradesmen to come - they are all very busy. In any case we expect that a start will be made in a couple of weeks.
![]() Kevin is doing golf clinics again this year. The first one was held at 11:00am last Friday with a group of 16 taking advantage of the free lesson. There will be a further 3 over the next few weeks. Bring whatever clubs you would like to work on. All clinics will last one hour approximately. Bookings essential - telephone Kevin on 4861 1042 option 3, or send an email to [email protected] The next clinics are on:- Friday November 11th 11.00am, Friday November 18th 11.00am & Friday December 2nd 11.00am | ![]() We had a free BBQ for members last Friday - 100 hamburgers were served to members and some visitors. Paul was the 'masterchef' with expertise displayed in cooking the patties and sausages. Leonie and Wendy were on the serving table dispensing the burgers and I was the oignon' chef - that's 'onion' in French - I'm trying to 'talk up' the work by giving it a french title. |

From the USGA website
"Look what we’ve encountered here – a group of burrowing owls. These animals nest in open, dry areas throughout North and South America, including this bunker, at TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs, Fla. Under the Rules of Golf, they are considered to be burrowing animals, and a player who encounters interference from one of their holes can seek relief without penalty under Rule 25-1. Just be careful during the relief procedure – you don’t want to upset mama!
