Dear members, it's been some time since the last issue of this periodical blog was published (apologies) and since then we have welcomed many new members, both golfing and social. Please introduce yourself if you see a new face and make them feel welcome. Rodney Dennington Johanna Buchanan Isaac Walz Ian Currie Maximillian Currie Oscar Currie
Membership Offer As we come to membership renewal time please think about who would benefit from a membership at our club. The attractive Provisional subscription, as well as the New Member Introduction discount on all categories, means a considerable saving for the new members as well as members introducing them. For further details contact Kevin Kenny at the office. Golf is the perfect tonic for good health and happiness according to the BBC. To quote them:- "Researchers reviewed 5,000 studies into golf and found it had physical and mental health benefits for people of all ages. They found the physical gains increased with age. Balance and muscle endurance in older people were improved by playing the sport and it was also likely to improve cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic health." Perhaps this is a good time to get another person into golf or 're energise' a member not playing so much. It's good for everyone. Bowral Golf Club’s mission "To provide an enjoyable golf and club experience in a welcoming atmosphere to members and guests whilst maintaining the legacy of our history and traditions." Members information Here is a link (click here please) for current player information for the guidance of our members such as.... “Members are reminded of the correct procedure addressing issues by other players as to perceived slow play and for visitor conduct on the course that is not in accordance with expectations or policy. In both instances please contact the pro-shop who will attend to the matter rather than instruct appropriate behaviour directly. The pro-shop has been trained in the correct approach to these matters. Members in the past offering direction to visitors as to correct behaviours have resulted in complaints being received. This can have the effect of our club gaining an unwelcoming reputation." | Our golf prodigy Michelle Di Natale who plays off a handicap of 19 at just 11 years old, is enjoying continued success on the junior circuit.
